MFA Thesis Exhibition, Stay at Home, features the handmade book, New-New House, Residence of Mr. J.C. Joslyn, Miller Guest Home, Driscoll Home, Opportunity House, The Nut House, and my house. The book is a diaristic depiction of a deep nostalgia for my childhood home while I try to establish a sense of belonging elsewhere. The notion of home has been significant in my life as I watched my parents restore a worn, historic house throughout my childhood. By interweaving documents referencing the history of my former home with photographs of my changing surroundings shot on expired film, I relate how we are defined by and can define the places where we live.
